The AFC playoff picture is finally taking shape following the NFL'sannouncement on Thursday night.

The league will not be making up the Bills-Bengals game, which was suspended on Monday night after Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field. As a result, Cincinnati and Buffalo will play only 16 games while the rest of the league plays 17.

Because of this, the seeding will be determined by winning percentage, meaning that if the Kansas City Chiefs win this weekend to move to 14-3, they'll lock up the No. 1 seed.

It doesn't matter that the Chiefs played one more game than the Bills and Bengals or that they lost to both teams. Beat the Raiders on Saturday and Kansas City is top dog in the AFC.

Kansas City may have a first-round bye as the No. 1 seed but they won't get homefield advantage should they play the Bills or Bengals in the conference championship game.

If that happens, the AFC Championship Game would be played at a neutral site.
