Only 2 College Football Programs Have Never Missed Playoff Ranking

Since the start of the College Football Playoff in 2014, there have been 51 separate rankings released by the Selection Committee. In that span, two teams have never failed to appear.

According to FOX College Football, Alabama and Ohio State have appeared on all 51 weekly rankings since 2014. Coming in third is Clemson with 48 appearances, followed by Oklahoma with 46 and Notre Dame with 40.

Alabama have been the most successful of any of the College Football Playoff teams, winning the title three times and appearing in the national title game six times in eight years. They've missed the tournament only once.

Ohio State won the first College Football Playoff in 2014 and have appeared in it fewer times than Clemson has. But, they've still been a regular season juggernaut and have finished ranked in the top six each year of the tournament's existence.
