No. 10 Washington Suffers Crushing Season-Ending Injury Loss

The Washington Huskies football program announced some bad news on Tuesday.

It's that starting running back Cam Davis will miss the upcoming season with a lower-body injury.

The sophomore reportedly suffered the injury during practice last week.

"Cam is a huge part of [the offense]," head coach Kalen DeBoer told reporters.

"It's his second year in the system, works so hard, leads the right way, disciplined guy.

He not only does a great job with the ball in his hands, but in pass protection he knows everything inside and out."

Last season, Davis rushed for 522 yards and 13 touchdowns on 107 carries, and had been expected to be RB1 this year.

Now other players in the running back room will have to step up in his absence, something DeBoer sounded confident about.
