In a year where the New York Jets have almost as many quarterback changes as wins, they're closing out the season with one more change.

According to ESPN Jets insider Rich Cimini, starting quarterback Mike White has been ruled out for Sunday's season finale against the Miami Dolphins. Joe Flacco will get the starting nod instead, while Zach Wilson will be his backup.

White was limited in practice yesterday due to an issue with his injured ribs. But today, the team ruled him out for Sunday entirely.

White had his worst performance of the season in Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He completed 50-percent of his passes for 240 yards and two interceptions - all of which were his worst marks of the season.

With his ribs acting up like this, it makes you wonder if he should have even been on the field this past week.

The decision to move to Joe Flacco seems to be a head scratcher though. Flacco has looked completely checked out of the 2022 season for most of the games he's played this season.

He did lead the Jets to their historic comeback win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 2, but other than that, he's been meh at best and unplayable at worst.

Sunday might be the final start of Flacco's career for all we know.As for the Jets, they head into the 2023 offseason with even more uncertainty at quarterback than they started 2022 with.
