The Lakers may reportedly bring a familiar face in for a workout. According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the team has interest in former All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins.

Cousins signed a one-year contract with the Lakers in 20919. Unfortunately, he never played a game for the team because he tore his ACL in a pickup game before the season even started.

Last season, Cousins appeared in 31 games for the Nuggets. He averaged 8.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest.

Per the report from Haynes, the hope is that Cousins can "impress" the Lakers.

In his prime, Cousins was truly an unstoppable force. In 2017, he averaged 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds per game for the Pelicans.
Cousins' days of being an All-Star player are most likely over. However, the Lakers' second unit would benefit from a boost.Maybe, just maybe, Cousins can give the Lakers a spark later this season.
