Fans Praying For Nats Outfielder Injured At Yankee Stadium

The Washington Nationals lost more than a few runs off a DJ Lemahieu home run at Yankee Stadium today.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Lemahieu hit a solo home run to right field that Nats outfielder Stone Garrett attempted to make a play on.

Unfortunately, his efforts to snag the ball away from the home run zone got him injured in the process.

Garrett went down for several minutes after hitting the wall and needed to be transported out of Yankee Stadium on a cart.

Stone Garrett has been enjoying a breakout season with the Washington Nationals.

At the plate he's enjoying a .272 batting average and has 63 hits, 40 runs, nine home runs, 40 RBIs and and .461 slugging percentage.

We can only hope that Garrett's injury isn't serious. It'd be awful if his promising season were to be interrupted by such an inexplicable injury.
