Star receiver DeAndre Hopkins was absent from practice with a hamstring injury after he practiced in full on Wednesday.

The severity of the injury isn't known at this time, but it was enough for him to miss a practice session.

Hopkins will need to practice in full on Friday and on Saturday if he wants to avoid an injury designation for Monday night's contest against the San Francisco 49ers.

He's played in four games since he returned from his six-game suspension. In those games, Hopkins has racked up 36 receptions for 196 yards and two touchdowns.

If he can't go on Monday, it would be a massive loss for the Cardinals as they'd potentially be down both him and Hollywood Brown.

The Cardinals did designate Brown to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, but it's unknown if he'll be ready for Monday's game.

Kickoff for Monday's contest will be at 8:15 p.m. ET.
